The transaction involved a complex package of Peruvian collateral documents.

    Advised Scotiabank Peru S.A.A. in several financing transactions during 2017:1. Leaseback with Hudbay Peru S.A.C. of mining equipmentfor payment of part of the existing debt with Caterpillar Leasing.2. A medium-term loan of up to US$ 25’000,000.00 for Tecnológica de Alimentos S.A. (TASA). Collateral included a pledge over several fishing vessels and equipment3. Loan of up to US$ 50'000,000.00 to Inversiones Centenario S.A.A. a major real estate company, owned by one of the biggest commercial groups in Peru . In order to guarantee the payment of the loan, Scotiabank Perú S.A.A. and Promoción Inmobiliaria del Sur S.A. entered into a mortgage agreement on real estate owned by the latter.

Scotiabank S.A.A. with Banco de Crédito del Perú in a complex syndicated project financing transaction to Perurail S.A. on the amount of US$45 million for the construction and implementation of railway facilities that will allow Perurail to provide transportation services to the Cerro Verde copper project.
