    Counsel in a motion to set aside an international commercial award before the Colombian Council of State. The award was set aside. This is the first time that Council of State set aside an international award under the new arbitrarion law (1563 of 2012).

  • USG Corporation Colombia 2020

    Counsel in a judicial proceeding derived from a distribution agreement to sell the client’s products in Colombia. Claimant alleged that the contract entered into by the parties was a commercial agency agreement and that our client unilaterally terminated it without fair cause. Consequently, claimant claimed payment of commercial severance, equitable indemnification and compensation of damages. Our client counterclaimed claiming the payment of owed invoices for the sales of products.

  • UNE EPM Telecomunicaciones S.A. and Colombia Móvil S.A. E.S.P. Colombia 2020

    Our team represents UNE EPM Telecomunicaciones and Colombia Móvil S.A. E.S.P., commercially known as Tigo, one of the most important telecommunication actors in Colombia, in a judicial claim initiated by Comcel S.A., the largest telecommunication actor in Colombia also owned by Carlos Slim, against the Colombian Telecommunications Agency. The claim involves a previous decision of the Colombian Telecommunications Agency to impose higher off-net calls tariffs to Comcel, due to its dominant position in the market.

  • ISAGEN S.A. E.S.P. and CHIVOR S.A. E.S.P. Colombia 2020

    Our firm leads the strategy to defend the interest of two leading companies in the energy sector, bringing a Restoration of Rights and Nullity Action against the Colombian Gas & Energy Agency CREG regarding the issuance of an executive order that modified the Companies’ remuneration on Colombian Market Energy with retroactive effects.

  • Fresenius Medical Care Colombia Colombia 2019

    The firm counselled the client and we are representing its interest in at least four tort claims against suppliers, the Colombian Judicial Branch and other departments and divisions of the city of Bogotá.

  • Concessionaire of an important EPC contract for the construction of 200 km of roads of one of Colombia’s most relevant corridors Colombia 2019

    Counsel in an arbitration regarding several differences arising from the interpretation of the concession agreement. It is worth noting that due to the strategy established by our firm, the arbitral tribunal granted a precautionary measure ordering the counterparty to disclose key information and restrain from filing administrative actions, in favour of our client.
