Four firms in Colombia Móvil credit facility
White & Case LLP’s Miami office and Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría (Colombia) have helped mobile phone company Colombia Móvil and integrated communications company UNE EPM Telecommunications obtain a US$300 million credit facility from a group of lenders led by JP Morgan Chase and The Bank of Nova Scotia.
JP Morgan Chase, The Bank of Nova Scotia and the group of lenders received counsel from Jones Day in Miami and Gómez-Pinzón Zuleta Abogados in Colombia. The deal closed on 21 June.
UNE EPM acted as a guarantor. The funds will be used to refinance Colombia Móvil’s shareholder debt.
